31 Dec I began to wonder if some of these supplements were having a negative effect on my hair so started doing a little research on this. I am taking about 25mg. The hair loss didn't start immediately. But there were other factors that could have caused it because I switched from soft water to hard water but now switched back to soft water. I also changed shampoos during the month.

My barber says its the pomade. There are usually a lot of chemicals in them. But if you also switched shampoos, that may be something to look into. I remember in like 06 or so when people on the boards were freaking out over zinc increasing DHT and causing hair loss.

To repeat what everyone has said above, I don't think it's the zinc either as it's known to help prevent hair loss. The mineral deposits coat the hair and skin preventing moisture from penetrating either, hence leading to dryness, itching and breaking off of hair strands. So within days of moving I bought one of those cheapo filtration thingys that you can attach to the shower head and that helped quite abit.
